Promoting BDC

Hi guys,

I had one PDC and one BDC both on winNT 4.0 The PDC box has failed, and I want to promote the BDC while the PDC is off line. But the BDC keeps telling me that it can't find the PDC and shows no computers at all. What can I do to promote it to PDC??

In server manager, right click your BDC and select promote to PDC.

The problem is the server manager isn't showing computers or servers at all!! What should I do? I mean, if there's no bdc available, how can I right click it?

Just see if you had chosen the option to show ALL Members in the server manager.

Fogot to post it, but I did it the same day. I was looking so far that I didn't noticed the option was set... Now the problem is solved, thank you psingh.
