Project98 and our intranet

I have just been given a copy of Microsoft Project98, and told to integrate it into our intranet. I have never EVER seen this program, or worked with it. It looks like a project manager, allbeit a complicate PM... but I just don't see how this can be usefull at all on our intranet. Does anyone have any experience in this area? I am afraid I really don't have 6 hours of time to invest with this program, only to tell my management that it is not worth the investment. <br>
