Hi. I am looking for a simple method of putting a progress bar before my flash movie loads to display the progress of the flash loading.

I have used a third party software package to create a flash movie from a powerpoint presentation. The trouble is that when I open the page with the flash movie, there is nothing to tell me that the movie is loading. I do not use MX Flash and am not very good at html. Anyone with a simple suggestion on how I can manage this.

You could use an animated gif in a layer to hide all of the page content until its loaded.

Get this bit of software
Its the easiest bit of flash kit I have come accross. You can do anything you can do in MX but in an easy dtp type way.

Its cheap too! They also have tutorials on loading scenes etc
