Hi,
We're running Progress 8.3A with our ERP software (Vantage). One of the fields in a table says it is of the format x(30), so it is a character field of length 30. However, there are a LOT of tools that, for one reason or another, are MORE than 30 characters in length. This creates a problem when I connect to the database using the OpenLink ODBC drivers, since I can't tell it to grab the extra characters, even if I use a substring command (which, incidentally, always returns no characters even if they exist). How can I get those extra characters to show up? Thanks for any help.
