Hi

Could someone please help with programming a speed dial on a Dterm phone.

I would like to be able to press a key and be able to call a number but I'm struggling in setting this up as I have never doen speed dials before, any help would be really appreciated

Regards

Adam

Should have a feature button on it, you start and end with feature. So you would press Feature + line key + extension + feature

Thanks for the reply, I understand this for an internal extension but my I want a speed dial key on the dterm for an external number

Regards

Adam

Right it still applies you would do the same thing on with your external number. Include what ever you dial out with as well like if you use a 9 to get out.

Actually on a 2000 the CONF button is used instead of the FEATURE button

CONF + button + number to set + CONF Display will show SPD SET

When you press conf and then the key it should display either the currently stored number or a two digit bin number. If it doesn't then the key is not programmed to be a speed dial key!

You need to also make sure that you have speed dial memory programmed for that extension.
CMD 73 + 94

Hi all and thanks for the replys

grh959 and OzzieGeorge I have tried to use the conf key, but this just flashes then nothing happens

belevedere I have entered the 2 command and CM73 reads 002002 and CM94 reads 002002, could you explain what this means?

Any more help would be very greatful

Thanks, Adam

Ok so next you need to check CMD 9000 and see if any of the keys are programmed as F11XX where the XX in this instance is anything between 00 and 19. If not set the one you want to use to F1100 and then try again. One thing we didn't mention is that the conf key No conf sequence should be done with the handset down.

002002 equates to a memory block to allow for a unique memory location for that station to have private speed dials. If you assign that block number to another phone, then they would share the same memory location.
002002 = first 0 = thousands block, 02 = hundreds block, 0/1 = allow or deny user programming (0 = allow) and the last 2 digits times 10 = the number of buffers available.

Thnaks guys, its all sorted now

I have to go to Station assignment, enter my extension (201) and the check the Key assignment tab to check where the memory slots started at. In this case they were 0020 to 0039, so then went to speed calling system and entered my number against memory slot 0020 which related to F1100 (Thanks for that OzzieGeorge), then programmed F1100 for the data against my Key

All working, Thanks very much for the help!

You may be over complicating things so I will try to make things a bit clearer (yes I know it worked but there are easier ways to deal with it). In CMD 73/94 you assign memory blocks in multiples of 10 so if you assign 002002 to an extension then because the last digit is a 2, you have assigned 20 memories to the phone so the next available unique memory block available is 002004 if you had assigned 002003 to the extension then 002005 would be the next unique block available. now you can use MOC mode )or CAT mode for that matter) to assign the speed dial to the bin (we refer to each speed dial location as a "bin") but if your dterm has a key set as F1100 then that also can be used to program the first block assigned to the station as well as to access it likewise F1101 will relate to the second and so on. This is where the conf, key, No, conf sequence comes in. The thing you have to watch out for is dual assignments and overlapping blocks as the system has no problem with these situations. For example you can have multiple stations assigned the same blocks but by only allowing one to change the data (fourth digit set to 0 whereas the others have the fourth digit set to 1) then they all have the same speed dials but they can only be set by one person

Yes you can put it into the bin from MOC/CAT mode but it is easier to enter it at the phone and teach the user how so that you don't have to keep doing it for them
