Hi,

I have a Norstar 4 Port Flash Voice Mail System.

Currently, the system is programmed to:
a) ring for times at each extension, then go into voice mail.
b) go straight to voice mail if the extension is in use.

I want to make the following changes to one extension only:
a) I need to change the number of rings before going to voice mail. I need one to wait until 6 (maybe changed to 8 later on).

b) don't want incoming calls to automatically go to voice mail if busy for this one phone only. Rather, I want it to ring at that location.

Can this be done?

Thanks,
Don

Change the FNA to 6. Remove FB on the set to none

Thanks but how do I get to that point. The only information I currently have is logon/passowrd of:

login: feature 983
password: ******* (my password)

Then I start hunting.

I have some documentation (Flash set up and Operation Guide).

What does FNA and FB stand for please as I cannot find these acronyms in the index.

you have to change them under cababilities. It depends on what software you have as to how to get to capabilies what version of software do you have?

fna means forward no answer
fb means forward busy

My software version is 3.0 (old). I logged on and entered the extension to edit but could not find any option entitled "capabilities". I couldn't find those to options in the manual.

that's not too bad does it come up with a.configuration?or
terminals and sets?

if you need more help e-mail me at westcommunicatins@comcast.net and we can get you dialed in

If you have an 3.0 you should se "Terminals&Set" wen you enter programming, then you enter there (by pressing the show key button)and the display wold show you "Show set:" enter the extension number and press the show key again there you will see "Line access", press next key and you should see "Capabilities:"

the key´s are in this position
exit < > show
back < > Next

yes, but if any ringing line appears on any other phone the one with the least amount of rings set to pick up will grad that line. otherwise, just turn forward on busy to off.
