Hi All
I recently de-installed then re-installed a Magix system equipped Merlin Messaging. When I dial 770 I get the VM system. Problem is when I call in the AA picks up. If I dial 100; 100 rings but the VM mailbox will not pick up. Can anyone layout instructions for fixing it.
I have a 5 slot carrier with 4-412 cards and the VM module as the last card.
Thanks so much!

Are you in KEY or HYBRID/PBX mode?

If KEY mode, go to the voicemail port extensions in Centralized Telephone Programming, and set the lines to NO ring

If PBX, make sure that pool 70 is not assigned to calling group 770

If you're unsure of the extension numbers of the VM ports, the easiest way to refer to them in programming is to type in *0501 for the first port (star, slot 05, port 01) through *05xx where xx is the number of ports you are licensed for.

To have extensions covered by voicemail, you first assign the VM calling group to be a receiver for a coverage group, and then assign the extensions with mailboxes to that coverage group.

F1 - SysProgram
F5 - Start
F6 - Extensions
PgUp - More
F4 - Grp Calling
F3 - Group Coverage
770 - Enter (extension number of the voicemail group)
F10 - Enter
30 - Enter (Coverage Group Number for voicemail)
F10 - Enter
PgDn - Inspect - Confirm Coverage Group
F5 - Back
F5 - Back

System Programming
Start
Extensions
More (Page Up)
Group Coverage
30
Enter
[Extension Number of phone with voicemail]
Enter

Thanks for your response....... I found the vm ports on 172-177. I replaced the 2-412 cards with 2-024 cards so that pushed the vm back some. Where do I enter them to have the AA pick up. The set up im looking for is to have the AA pickup 1st when calls come in on the 4 main CO lines, if no digits pressed or know response or selector codes pressed then ring 2 phones 100 and 101. If no answer after 6 rings goes to the VMB of ext 100.

Oh also I created all the mailboxes from 100-165, and when I dial 770 I get the voicemail system. I just need to link the ports and have the overflow work properly and have the mailboxes on all the phones pu after 6 rings when calls are transferred from AA or another EXT.
Thanks so much

Assign the lines (or pool) to calling group 770, then they will be answered immediately by the automated attendant

In the auto attendant, set the Dial-0/Timeout option to Transfer to Extension 100

Put a Primary Coverage 100-Immediate Ring button on Ext. 101

Put all of the extensions with mailboxes in Coverage Group 30 (assuming that's the one that is assigned to calling group 770)

Set their group coverage delay to 6 rings

Thanks Tommy,
I think I may need to speak with someone to finally get this up properly. If your able to offer this type of support(Phone) I would be willing to compensate you for your time. I don't think it would take longer than 10-15 min. When I add the ports 172-177 to the members section, I call in and get 100's mailbox after 2 rings. This is instead of getting the AA. That's 1 issue. The other is trying to add all extensions (100-165) into page group. I think it was 783, it only took the extension 100-110. All others got beep when trying to add.
