Have a KXTD-1232 system. The original programming software was lost. I ordered "Panasonic Programming Software for KXTD-1232 original box-never opened ."(URL attached)
Not sure if it is a windows or dos based application. I have been told by a tech friend that I need a DOS version.
1. Can a Windows version work or will it screw up the hardware?
2. How can one tell if you need the DOS or Windows version?

It is a Windows version but it will open up as a DOS window. It is very easy to use. I have the program if you want it. it is 14mb size of a folder. it is version 6 which will work. You also need a lead to connect to the system.

If you have some way I can dump the software you can have it.

thanks for your offer- If you have a dropbox account- you could place it there and I could retrieve it.
dropbox is a free service

there are country differences, so what system is it BE, E ,BX etc

hi there
is any chance to get this software onto to email or any other way, please

Found a source for the software-comes as both a DOS and Windows version-was told to only use DOS. "Office Fones"
The CD is $19.99. Have not tried it yet, however. The CD has software as well for many Panasonic Systems.
You can reach them at 408-625-6166. They also have a website: Officefones.com

Used the software today- It will ask for password and port number for system. Default password is "1234". The port choice that worked for me was 6. You have to move the DOS exe file
onto your HD and unzip it. The hardware needed to attach to a Windows laptop is a Trendnet USB to serial converter that comes with a cd with drivers (Amazon about $11) and a "Handshake Null Modem Cable DB25M/DB9F from Amphenol Cables on Demand (866-223-2860)cost about $12.
