Office has a 34D set for receptionist (ext 10), and it dropped all programming on extremely hot day.
System is Partner II Rel 3.0.
Want to add lights on upper buttons for specific extensions, indicating when busy, and making easier to transfer calls.
I believe it is 'Message Light On' (F09XX), is this right?
If it is, I must have the sequence wrong -
Feature 00, Lft Intercom, Lft Intercom, Rt Intercom,
Ext # (10, I am programming from Ext 10),
Press the Upper left button,
then ext# that will light it when picked up, Feature 00 - but the light doesn't come on when the extension is picked up.
Or is this an Auto Dial issue?
Thank You

Nope, it's simply an "Auto Intercom" button for each extension.

Feature 00
Press the button to be programmed
Press the LEFT hand Intercom

Dial EITHER the extension number, OR * and the extension number (depending on if you want ringing or voice announce)

Press the next button to be programmed, lather/rinse/repeat
Feature 00

TouchToneTommy is right, but you may need a battery for the system processor. Otherwise you will become very good at programming the entire system.
Was the time and date correct? The system may have lost all it's programming, or had the program corrupted (worse).

Thank you TouchToneTommy - that did the trick, with one exception...

Several of the buttons refused to program (not being blank), indicating messages such as:
Immed Ring-L05,L10,03
Delayed Ring-L08,L04
No Ring-L09

I tried to erase these using -
Feature, 00, button, mic
and
Feature, 00, Sys Prog, Sys Prog, Ext#, button, mic (on ext 11 of course)
and a couple of other things I don't recall at the moment. Non of these worked.

What am I doing wrong?

- itpphoneguy -
No, I needed to set the date/time/day.
I am not sure what the above indicates, but the system presently has only 4 telco lines, and never has had more than 6. (I am thinking the L09 and such refers to telco lines?)
Is this a sign of corruption? This is not a very sophisticated setup, so lots could be wrong, and not know it.

Hi Michael,
Your system lost all it's programming. It assigned all available lines on the cards to all phones, the buttons you can't program are lines (you are correct) and are handeled differently.
You can assign the the lines with #104 - that's global. Use this only once. Then set up a target phone for ringing in centralized programming. Then copy these to the other phones using #399.
Do all your other programming after this.
