We have a problem to programmatically login an agent via SCCS. It works on an option11c in our lab, but not at a customer site on an option61. It however works on site if we take the phone off-hook, and then do a programmatic login.

We use Envox CT Connect to talk to Symposium.

Any ideas?

We do it fine on a 61c using a home-grown Unix application. Make sure your link commands aren't being 'massaged' by your Envoy stuff.

rfwhite,

Thanks for your answer, we are also looking into the issue with Envox, but since this works in the lab we think it is a switch config issue or some other little tweak.

Could I ask, what extension types are you using for your (virtual?) agents, and which version of SCCS?

We're still using 2216 and 2616 'phones. We have done the login/out stuff with both 4.2 and 5.0 SCCS.

rfwhite,

Thanks. We still have a problem doing this on site, possibly since we are doing this on virtual extensions. It is a huge customer with a complex live system, so we have very time-consuming change control to deal with for try&fail.

We have however found a workaround that auto-login the agent when it is defined in Meridian, which is cleaner and seems to work. We have fortunately no need to log on/off.
