Anyone have any tips on how to programmatically create Visio diagrams.

I have data that I want to either export to Access or Excel and then automatically diagram the connections of servers in our environment.

Any advice is appreciated.

Also, I noticed there is an XML schema for Visio .. would this be an easier route?

It's not an easy task to answer in a message, but get a hold of a copy of DVS (Developing Visio Solutions) or Dave Edson's "Professional Development with Visio 2000". Dave has a few examples of using Visio with Excel, Access and Word. Don't worry about the book being out of date, the core information is still the same.

Using XML would be the hard way to do it.
