how do I find the line number?
is the trunk type the 7 digit # 456-7890 ??
Public rcv # is this the 7 digit # 456-7890 to the public??

Yes the public is the DID target line.Private is for networking to another BCM.

After making changes to BCM50 how do you save the config???

Thank you,

When you do the change you will see the info change automatically.

Remember on a bcm it's always live.
Any changes are immediate

Yes it has been 10-12 yrs since I was last on a BCM I was reminded quickly yesterday on the auto change. Thank you you both cook1082 and snowman50. One other question:

When you plug your butt set into a ATA2 (pwrd up) I get a very loud BUZZ noise, this is weather I am plugged into the BCM or stand alone, is this a indication that the ATA is bad?? It is really plug and play from a digital port into ATA and analog out. I have four ATA device's and they all do the same thing, LOUD BUZZ. Any thoughts on this?? Please

Thank you,

I would test with an actual set to omit but set issues but wonder if it might do that when there is no activation license so check the list for licenses.
