We have a Nortel Meridian phone system which has a 4 port analog CID trunk card; we do not have a T1 or any digital trunks.

I hope I am making sense..

We had the system setup and programmed however managment wants to know if the system would allow multiple extensions being able to pickup on the same phone call at once and participate in the phone call without having to go through the conference function .

OK. Where in the programming do you make this change?

Turn privacy off on the lines. It is under line programming trunk/data.

Is this a Meridian system or a Norstar system. They are 2 totally different animals, programmed in totally different ways.

Meridian is both KEY (Norstar) and PBX (M1,Option,Succession).

Jasonbro you could refer your system as Norstar to make it easier.

You can leave the lines alone so you have privacy for the most part or instead do Feature 83, this will allow others to join in for that call only.

I guess thats true, in some markets it was sold as a Meridian system, but I think that stopped in the mid to late 90's. With the life cycle of some of these units I would guess there are still quite a few out there with the Meridian name on them though.

I appreciate all of your help. Curlycord - Feature 83 worked perfectly!! This is exactly what the management was looking for.

Thank you

jasonbro, you should give him some pink for that.
