I'm trying to come up with a way to add a front end voice menu for calls coming in to our main number. We're on an option 61, MerMail 13, and a 2250 console. The problem I'm having is that this menu should only be available in "day" mode. There is another existing voice menu that is in effect when the attendant puts the console on "night" mode. The console is put also in "night" mode when the attendant steps away for breaks/lunches.

Is there a way to intercept calls going to the console in "day" mode and redirect them to a voice menu? the last prompt in the menu will be "...or remain on the line for the next available attendant."

Thanks in advance!

you need to point your main number to a TOD, (time of day) in MMail. Probably, this is an LDN in LD15 assigned to one of the ICI keys. The TOD alows you to select which menu is selected for day mode & night mode. As you have an existing menu, you can use this for your night menu. You need to create a day menu. Set the revert dn to a spare number in your M1 & use this number to replace the exisitng LDN in LD15. Make sure dn length is a least a many digits in length as the exisitng one. This of course presupposes that things are set up as I'm guessing.

l had the same problem earlier with attendant consoles and thanks to "wdhb" the problems have been resolved but looking at the previous setup and what l have configured now seems to be the same situation you are in
what l have done is to look at the LDN in load 15 (main incoming number)as WDHB has said to do
ld 49 changed the <mainnumber> to idc 7001 <an ACDN> which in turn goes to a time of time controller in mail, in business hours this goes to a menu ID with only the greeting recorded ie welcome to <company name> then all the choices in that menu are set to CL <reception> and for out of hours this can be setup for whatever yours needs are, this works for me ????

Thanks for the info. My problem is that I can't use a TOD controller for the front end greeting/menu, since the console goes is put into day/night on an irregular basis (they use it for "inservice/out of service" rather than day/night). We are already using a TOD controller for our "night" service to handle holiday messages.

you could use 2 x TOD with the Night being Night in the 1st TOD & DAY in the 2nd TOD. Holiday could be Night in the 2nd
