Programatically create folders

Hi.
I need to create around 300 folders from a text file list. (In our organization, each client will have its own folder.)

How can I do this programatically? It doesn't need to be a web part, it will just be an exe.

Where do the folders live? The file system? in SharePoint?

How you do this depends on the answer.

they need to be sharepoint folders.

You can manipulate doc libraries through WebDAV. Check the SPS SDK for details.
