I get a message everytime I power up telling me to insert an Installation CD (from my ISP).
I don't have the CD and no longer use their service.
I close the message and everything else works fine on the PC, even my Internet.

How can I remove this annoying message? I've looked in my Start up in MSCONFIG & can't see anything.

Check add remove/programs to make sure it is not listed. you may also check 'c:\program files' folder. If a folder resides there by the name of the problem program then look inside the folder for an uninstaller and run it if found. If not then clik on start>run, then type 'regedit' and clikc the edit menu, then click 'find' and tyep the name of the program from the ISP. Run the search until it completes the registry and delete the entries founmd for that name. Be careful though as you can damage your system if you delete certain registry entries. Make a backup of registry first and if in doubt delete only the items you feel okay about.

Life is what you make it.

you haven't got any files called 'setup.exe' or 'install.exe' in the root of C:?
