On the old Merlin II or older release Legends is there a program "reset" function to take the programming back to default values?
thanks
matt

Well, I don't remember.

But I know this works:

Split the Clam Shell and remove the JUMPER near the Batteries on the bottom of the Printed Circuit board for about 10 seconds.

Be sure to make note of which 2 pins it goes on, and then put it back after that 10 second period.

All programming will be gone.

However, I see no value in keeping an old MERLIN II in service.

I would upgrade to a LEGEND R7 or any Legend that has a PCMCIA Slot, because, soon, the batteries in that MERLIN II will fail, and you will get your reset each and every time they loose power.

LOL ! Thats already happening. We've been tryinng to talk this customer into upgrading for years now. I think they're getting close to doing it. Just want to make sure all old programming is gone this trip when we reprogram, to prevent callback. (Its a 100 mile drive into the boondocks.)

Well, I would take a LEGEND Processor with me. That may make the sale happen now.
