We are having a problem installing Citrix Program Neighborhood Version 9.230.on a pc. We had the previous version installed and wanted to upgrade. After installing and running the setup, the log-in window pops-up and I type in the username and password, then enter. The window disappears, but the application doesn't run. We tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but this did not help. Also, the client does not completely uninstall because when installing the new client the previous settings appear after the new install. I'm sure if we could completely uninstall the client, a fresh install might work. Any ideas on how to completely uninstall and clean the registry. Thanks

Hi Yargr
I've problem as Your's.
Simply Installing previous version on other pc
Or copy from other PC to the "c:\Program Files\Citix\Ica Client" to the destination PC without changing information in Registry. All Connections and Passwords and other info are stored in Document And Settings \ USER\ App Data \ Citrix when on XP, or Profiles in older WIndows

Best Regards
Jerzy

Sounds easy enough. Surprised I didn't think of it! I'll give it a try and let you know. Thanks again!

Hello, I tried what you suggested, but it didn't work. What I did find out was that Microsoft's new RDC client is causing the issue. By uninstalling it the Citrix client now works. I'm not sure of the reasoning behind this, but it resolved the issue.

Yes the new RDP client is a real pain. I haven't figured out yet ways around it. BUT I WILL !!

Hmmmm

Notes

Depending on the policies of your network or the configuration of the computer that you are connecting to, you might still be asked to type your password, even though you have completed the steps above.
When you click Connect, the information you enter in Options becomes the default setting for all Remote Desktop connections and is saved in a file called Default.rdp. To create connections with different or connection-specific options, see To save your connection settings to a file.

I have had to go in and delete the contents of c:\Program Files\Citrix to do the clean install of the client. ICA client settings are sometimes still in there. (.ini files and such) Had the same problem with Citrix Secure Access VPN.
