Can I have icons without the program name below it, ex my computer?

I am pretty sure that you need to have a name of some sort in that field below the icon. If it irks you that much, try just using a combo of .'s or other such characters.

You can change with TeawkUI. You can get a copy from

http://www.tucows.com

or

http://www.download.com.

I will not say you can totally remove the name but think it will
appear when you place you cursor on it.

what i want to do is a desktop like a radio with buttons. i know the icons will be moveable but look like buttons. i have just started playing around with it and thought it would be cool.

If your wanting buttons maybe you should look at using a webpage for your desktop.
