We are trying to program in Line Appearances on an IP Office 403, software 2.5.4 and 6408D+ phones.

It will take Call Appearance programming but not Line Appearance.

Any ideas?

Thank you

2.5.4 doesn't exist. Look under Control Unit and see what s/w the 403 is showing as.

Are you using the old Manager version matching the 403?? I've seen buttons not work using the newer one.

Not even sure if you could do Line App buttons though as I never use them, either now or back in the 2.x days!!!

I think R3.0 was the first you could use line appearances. And at that point, they didn't work well. You could put the appearance on the phone for ringing purposes, but you couldn't directly access the line via the button. You still had to create a short code to crab that line. I think either R4.2 or R5.0 fixed that, but a 403 isn't going to go that high.

I've never understood the point of LA buttons. Part of a PABX's just is to find a line fore you.

IF you want to hold calls on a button for other users, use Parks bays.

I think Avaya only put them in for the people who are stuck in Key System mode!!!
