Hi all,

I have recently changed my ISP to FREECHARIOT. When i start window a program called MYFCN.EXE starts. This program is the autodialer for FREECHARIOT. This would not be a problem but I can't stop the thing running. If you close it after a short while up it pops.

I have looked in the registry under the usual places (Run RunOnce ect.) and it is not there.

I have looked using MSCONFIG.EXE and can't find it.
I have press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and guess what it does not show up.

I am probably missing the most obvious but that is the way it goes.

I would tell you first go to and download the firewall program.
It will tell what program is trying to get to the internet.
I would also go to msconfig on the startup tab and uncheck everything but system programs.
Please let know what you find out.

HI

Smitee thanks for the address's they were most helpfull unfortunatly no-one there had answered this problem yet.

mrfixit thanks it seems to have worked. I did that before but left the following line :-

[DEFAULT] Registry [Machine Service] c:\windows\system\fonts\explorer -system

I took it out of the loop and MYFCN does not autoload anymore.

I am not sure how that line affected the startup but I don't care as long as it works.
