Can I program mailboxes with a laptop, or do I have to use the phone?? It's been awhile since I worked on a NAM

Program a NAM

You can use Norstar Voicemail Manager through the serial port,or the nic, but if your laptop has XP it won't work, I'm not sure about win 2000. You will have to program through a set.

You can setup a "dial-up network" connection with XP, just search the web for the subject.

You need Norstar Remote Utilities to program a NAM with a laptop. You'll need the Utilities package for the software level of the NAM. I have never been successful using it pre 4.0 NAM. It's a pain in the but to use. Takes practice. Good luck finding a copy.
