I'm having trouble setting up a hotline to any key on the 3903 & 3904.

When I look at the TNB configuration of my own phone, I know it is programmed as follows: KEY 5 HOT D 88. So I went to add the exact same key on another 3904 and I get SCH3058 & SCH3059.

Error 58 is Wrong number of input fields.
Error 59 is DN Length out of range, please enter a dn of 1-31 characters.

I dug futher and know that x88 is the pager for our system. When I did a PRT DNB for DN 88, it's a TYPE RDB 10. So I LD 21, PRT RDB 10 and find it's set to ACOD 88. At this point I thought I would have enough info on this to troubleshoot on my own, but can't find a reference to what options are possible when binding HOT to a key.

According to the info you gave us on your phone, the only thing that would happen by hitting that HOT KEY on your phone would be to give you dial tone on that route.

SCAN your TNB and Post it here so we can see it

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

your just missing the length of the dial string... our acod for all page is 8204. so key 1 hot d 5 82040. gives me all zone.. if you can dial 88 and hit the page, then key x hot d 2 88 is the key entry.. it's in ld 11 in the books

Thanks, that is what I'm looking for .. KEY 5 HOT D 2 88 was what I needed.

The prior network/telecom manager took our books so we have no reference manuals for the programs that can be run on the system. Nortel's website doesn't make it easy to find manuals either. Tek-Tips.com has been a saviour on more than one occasion. :)

Yes it is good, but it only covers up to Rls 25.40. I use it all the time.
