Profiles & Permissions Win2K - loading software

How do I give a user with both a local account and domain account use of a single profile? Also, I am having trouble with a user being able to load new software on his Win2k. I give him administrator or Poweruser permissions in his local account, but then when he logs in under the domain, the software does not show up because it is in his local profile. I then must give him admin permission temporarily to correct the problem. What do I have to do on both the local and domain side to allow a user to load programs on his machine, without giving him admin permissions/rights on the domain. I'm confused.

You can add the users domain account to either the power users or administrators group on the local machine (User & password icon in control panel, advanced & advanced). They will then have enough permissions locally without it affecting their domain access.

I am having the same problem. We use WinNT server. So we do not have snap-in policy.

Anybody out there know how this can be accomplished withouth Win2k Server. If you do please tell.

NT4 you should be able to logon as administrator install the program and the when the user logs on he is given access to the program.

I was close. I was trying to use "manage" by right clicking on My Computer. The "User & password" icon in CONTROL PANEL, advanced & advanced)was the key. Kinda makes me feel silly.
