have a user using a win2k machine, on an NT4 domain with a roaming user profile. The 200 machine will happily load his profile but when logging off it states 'unable to update your roaming profile, access is denied, see network administrator' This only happens when on an 200 machine, when he uses NT4 machine it updates his settings without any problem. Any body with any clues...Permissions i think, but where ??

WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, verify that the user has sufficient permissions. At the share level, Full Control permissions are required. This is different from Windows NT 4.0, in which the Change share-level permission is sufficient.

At the NTFS level, the following permissions are required:

List Folder Contents
Read
Write

That should take care of it. pbxman

I appear to have now fixed the problem except on that users machine. When logging in on my workstation running 2000, it downloads and updates his roaming profile without any problem. When he logs onto his own workstation, it will not update his roaming profile when logging off stating access is denied. I cannot see a reason for this, it must be a problem local to that machine, me thinks, but I dont really know where to start looking. Ideas ??
