Does anyone have any experience yet with the Professional Call Recorder in R5? I have a customer that is setting up a call center, and of course wants to record the calls. From looking in the Task Based guides the Professional Call recording can either send the recordings to an E-Mail box or save them on a networked computer, but requires a 3rd party app to manage them. It does not say what app or how to go about getting it.

Does anyone know if the Avaya version is available yet or any free version I can download?

I have this working on a BCM 50 for test purposes - just emailing the WAV file of the recording.

I like the feature - very flexible in how it can be configured.

I do notice, however, that the WAV recording is slightly distorted, as if it's slightyl too loud in places and that is causing distortion.

the BCM 50 is on Rel 5 SU 003

Just a note on the Algo solution - it does record only 1 DN per PC and unfortunately because Norvaya is so wishy washy right now that have stopped developing the total solution so they won't be wasting their time if the BCM is junked.

Not very promising.

ccarmock - are you seeing the 15 meg for storage of a 30 minute call that we were warned about? That would fill up the email server pretty quickly for a contact center.

Anyone wondering about the Algo solution; I was speaking to a rep the other day and they said they had scrapped it since the IPOffice is going to be taking the place of the BCM.

Yeah this is true, however Avaya might hopefully make their contact store application compatible with BCM.

Hi there,
first post here so just wanted to say thanks to all for creating a wonderful resource for support on the BCM systems.

Back on topic. I know in the UK Nortel are working with a company called North Supply that provide bespoke Voice/Call recording systems. I personaly don't like the Voice recording system they put in place for us (i think it's a bit clunky) but the managment team love it!
