There is any way to get the serial numbers of the phones registered to the mitel 3300 system. Otherwise we need to run around and check physically each phone.

After having declared the sets, a rought method would be to import user config datasheet from icp (I'm talking about 3300). You'll have then the MAC adresses.
When delivering the goods, MITEL is supposed to give you a sheet with the serial corresponding to the MAC adress.
The question is to know if the are able to send an electronic format...
Thanks to OCR (i said it was rought) you may import a table and make correspondances...

any other ideas are welcomed

Now, it's about French users too !!!

Serial numbers are not hardcoded into the phones like the MAC address is.

I'm not aware of any serial numbers being sent to VARs - this would be new if it was, at least for Canadian VARs. Serial numbers will be on the invoices shortly, but we are a while out from having that go live.

I confirm that serial number are sent to me when I received the MITEL products.
It is a paper called packing note where I have quantities of stuff and list of part number and corresponding MAC and serial numbers. This list is called "Manifest report by Carton delivery...
I'm in EMEA zone.

Following what TheMitelGuy says, if serial is not hard coded you'll have to have this kind of list and OCR it !

If you can't, your best way would be to have an infrared scan in order to scan all the telephone one by one...

I guess if you have to install lots of telephone, you'll have to take some time for that...

Sorry chaps

Now, it's about French users too !!!

I cannot speak for countries other then Canada. In Canada the serial numbers are not give out to the VARs on a piece of paper. It is up to the VAR to get them off the phones or boxes.

If you know the original shipping number, (think it starts with an 8 and is some 8-9 numbers long), why don't you ask Mitel for a duplicate. It's in the system. They just need to find it.
