product key for windows 98 1

When I purchased my computer with it windows 98 was loaded. I have a cd windows 98 that came with the computer, but I have lost the product key 25 digit number.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?

Run Regedit and then find:

HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version

To the right you should see the Product Key

You have tried changing it in CP?
You have loaded drivers? This is the usual cause.
