I had my truck broken into and they got my lap top. I bought a dell xps with vista operating system and loaded procom on it and now I cant get it to connect to an option switch to save my life. Any ideas?

Get rid of Vista. Procomm does not work.

My procomm works fine on my vista. I have a new HP Pavilion dv9925. The modem works fine too, unlike my old Conextant Dell modem.

I have a Dell Latitude D630 running XP and the onboard Conexant modem never did work. Worked with Dell online support for hours. Dell finally decided the motherboard was bad. Within a couple of days Dell came out and installed a new motherboard. Still didn't work. Had to disable the Conexant modem and install the U. S. Robotics 56K PC Card Modem (Model USR0756-XJ) that was in my old laptop.

wow, dell worked with you on this. I tried and they told me there was a known problem between their conextant modem and nortel systems, and they were not going to do anything about it. they said it was a nortel problem.

The only way I could get it to work was to copy the folder from an xp machine and put it on the Vista under C:. I then copied the PW4 icon to the desktop. You can find it under procomm/programs.
