CM 5.2.1 Duplicated CM

Just out of interest as part of daily checks for health on our systems , I have noticed that main cm and standby lsp have 86 services up and running , but the duplicate standby CM only has 42 in process status , can any body explain this as i am curious as to why this is the case , I am guessing that if the standby server kicks in the process will match main CM , but the customer is also asking and i would like to provide a coherent explanation, As to why and when these processes will kick in as it in my opinion is a seamless transition between main and standby but if all the processes are not running as appears to be the case could this cause an issue

APSS (SME)
ACSS (SME)
ACIS (UC)

processes in the standby are less because CM is not active.

These commands do not account for all 85 in the active or all 42 in the standby.
but you should see the difference. When the interchange occurs the 43 processes not
running in the standby will start up and those 43 in the old active will stop.
