Hi you guys,

Does anyone know, when looking at the process info screen, what column data can be used to identify a lock that should be killed?

Does the Physical IO help to identify these locks and if so, what # would be considered a lock?

Thanks for any suggestions.

The physical io might tell you if the spid is doing anything - but it may be waiting on an external process - also be careful about parallel processes (ecid <> 0).

Whether or not a process is doing something important depends on your system and there's no generic way to tell.
