What is the procedure for downloading a flash upgrade to a Partner ACS PCMCIA backup restore card R5.0 or any other card?
I've read that some eFlash tools software program must be downloaded first, but where do I go from there?
Thanks for the road map.

An in-depth discussion was made on this topic recently. Choose "Keyword Search" from the tabs above and input Eflash for that thread.

I did a keyword search for EFlash and got only this thread... can someone point me in the direction to find the info for upgrading an ACS R3 to (hopefully) R6?

Hi Bufftel,
Purchase the flash card and stick it into your ACS 3.0. When the flashing stops on the power light the system will reboot. It's now an ACS 6.0. If you bought the Backup / Restore / RMD card, just leave the card in. Do a backup (#124).
I have assumed that you already have a current backup of your program, otherwise backup what's current before the proceedure. (disaster recovery).

That's all there is to it!

As far as the eFlash Tools goes, they are only available to Avaya Business Partners.

eFlash Tools allows you to write software to the propitary flash cards that Avaya uses.

The upgrade software is SOLD to the Business Partners for them to burn to the cards.

They are sold a number of licensces, so they can't just download the software once and go crazy burning cards for free upgrades.

So you should contact your dealer, do a web search, or check eBay for the upgrade card.
