Hello,

We have been receiving errors on a primary volume tape.
I performed a audit volume fix=yes on the tape and now I during reclamation of the tape I see that the files are being skipped. From what I read this what it's suppose to do.

Should a Restore volume be next or move next?

My thinking is

1) Audit volume fix=yes (done)

2) restore volume (s) from the copy pool to the target pool this changes the access mode to destroyed but
I am sure this tape is useable. how do I get the
tape to be used again in the storage pool or will
it automatically go back in.

I did the above command and there is a backup tape in
the copy pool. That being the case is a the move
necessary?

Move the data and discard the volume. If possibe return the media to vendor/maufacturer for replacement.
