Procedure declaration error 1

I have various bits of code attached to buttons/labels as events however when these buttons/labels are clicked I get the following error message;

"The expression *(event name)* you entered as the event property setting produced the following error: Procedure declaration does not match desciption of event or procedure having the same name

The expression may not result in the name of a macro, the name of a user-defined function, or event procedure.

There may have been an error evaluating the function, event or macro"

The strange thing is that I constructed the database and code over the last couple of weeks and I have never got these errors before.

The event procedures/names haven't been changed and the code hasn't been changed as it is occurring in the first forms that were written for the database.

Does anyone have any idea what could be up?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hiya Grieg,

This happened to me once when I'd changed the name of a button & instead of using the property window ro rename the event proc I went to the cde & renamed the event proc myself. Even tho' it all looked OK the problem went away when I reassigned the code to the button using the propoerty window

Thanks for the reply. Tried reassigning the code using the property window but still getting the same error (for all event procedures in module). Ended up having to make a duplicate of the form, copying the code from the old form to a text document and pasting it back into the new module. This was the only thing which would fix it. Strange one!
