Problems with X-Lite Softphone together with Avaya IP Office

Hi there

I have setup user an extension according to this document:

But when I try to connect to IP Office, I get 403 Forbidden.

I have tried all possible combinations with or withiut password, username, extn-number, but I just keep getting this error.

Normally we connect with Avaya 5610SW phones.

One thing I may think could be the reason is th Endpoint licenses. In the document it says "License Type: IP End-points" and my licenses is called "Virtual Avaya IP Endpoints", but I'm not sure if that's the reason

Xlite is a SIP softphone.... non Avaya, therefor requires a 3rd party endpoint licence not an Avaya "IP endpoint" licence

Kind of, but virtual or real they are the wrong licences, make sure you ask for 3rd party endpoint licences...they are expensive mind

Do you know of any softphone that can use the Avaya IP Endpoint license?

No they are for Avaya's physical IP phones only, even Avaya's own softphone requires a Teleworker/Power user licence
