There is a server at work that is setup to provide access to exchange over the web. It is running NT4.0 and Exchange 5.5 and is part of a site that includes about 3 other Exchange servers. The other servers contain the mailboxes etc. and this server is just to provide access to email over the web. People occasionally call when they cannot access their email. They can access the web page and can logon (with their domain account and password) but when they put in their email address to access their mailbox they get a page cannot be displayed after a long delay. I have the same problem when I try to access the server over the web from my computer on the LAN. On the server side, all services will be running (all the exchange services and the ones associated with IIS, all services look good). The other Exchange servers appear to be running normally and the domain controller. Network connectivity seems to be ok. The event viewer on the IIS server shows Event ID 100 errors unknown user account or bad password that correspond to the users that can't login (including me). A reboot of the server remedies the problem for a while (I can login with the same user account and password that failed before the reboot) but the problem soon returns. I know the info is a little vague but does anyone have any idea what the problem may be and how to troubleshoot it
Thanks,,
