Hi

Using Crystal 10 and Oracle 81.

I have a simple report which calculates Gross * VAT @ 17.5%. I have to format the VAT field to 2 decimals places and round up to 2 characters to get the amount to display exactly right.

E.g. 65 * 17.5% equates to 11.375 which I round up to 11.38

When I then try to total the VAT column, the total is always .1 or .2 out even with the same formatting.

Can anyone tell me how to display the correct values without rounding.

Thanks

Puma

Try posting specifics, where are the formulas (which section), and where are the totals, and show an example of the data and the expected output, stating it's off by .1 or .2 isn't meaningful, show specifics.

If your intent is to sum the rounded figures, then replace the formula with:

round(Gross*Vat,2)

Then insert a summary on this formula. Formatting does not change the underlying values, but rounding a calculation will change the value to the rounded figure.
