We have a 5.0 SP3 that only have SIP trunks and 2 ELU-31/3 boards. The dect system is whery instable, lost calls and so on....
The ELU-31/4 boards and SP4 together was told to solve the problem but now Aastra took away from the release as was told, it didnt work so whell.

So I wonder if anyone has any other solution, not order a ISDN-trunk to solve it.

You need an ISDN2 (BRI) at least to have the national ISDN "clock" put into your MX-ONE system to obtain the correct DECT sync. No way of cheating!

I've been out of touch for a while but I seem to remember that the latest MGU version was made with a stable enough clock so that ISDN synchronization was no longer required. Of course this is irrelevant if you do not have classic magazines.

Hi,

you can use the internal MGU clock to sync the dect system. There is no need to have an external clock.
Between MGU's you still need to sync via ISDN lines though.

If those ELU31 boards are in the same magazin, either try replacing your mgu or your ELU31 boards.

A free running MGU index 2 can provide synchronization to master
ELU31/4 board, with ELU31/4 index 4 mode can then all mgw receive
PCM synchronization. This must be used while using only SIP trunks.
Using free running MGU and having E1/T1 connected slip can occur to
the other station. To avoid slip alarm notification send buffer can be activated
on the MGU board see description MGU, Media Gateway Unit
