We are having an issue with M2008 & M2616 phones. Since our upgrade to release 7.0 in February we have been having phones that when they try and answer a call it disconnects the caller that was on the line. This only happens with these phones. At first I thought it was just the phones dieing but each week the number continues to climb. Does anyone know of anything within the system that would cause a problem like this to happpen? We are replacing the M2008 and M2616 phones with the M3900 series phones and the cost is going through the roof at this point and I need to make sure that we are not replacing the phones when there is truely nothing wrong with them.

We are on R 7.0 since the end of Dec.2010. Our M2616 work fine. Not having that problem.

Check your hook switch, that little piece of spring steel is garbage after a few years they become weak. They need to be opened up.
You may also have to remove the board and clean the contacts.
I do this all the time. Works Great! i guess it could be an issue with 7.0 but I doubt it.
