I'm trying to record on my annoucement boards and follow the steps below.

PROCEDURE TO RECORD ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1) Pick up the handset, dial the <FAC> and the <Announcement Extension Number>. You should hear dial tone.

2) Dial <1>. A short burst of tone is heard and is now ready to record.

3) Speak the desired message.

4) When message is complete, dial <#> if using a hybrid voice terminal or hang up if using an analog or digital voice terminal. The announcement will record the cradle noise, so hang up quietly.

5) Check the announcement by dialing the announcement extension. You should hear the announcement you just recorded. If not, record again. If trouble continues, submit an on line service request or call a technician

When I hit the 1 to start recording I get the denial event - denial event 1637: Wrt prot/maxd/annc bd D1=0x5bbe D2=0x3a1

As soon as hit the "1" to start recording I get a wave-off tone. The denial event is noted on my previos messages.

Here is the explanation of that event:

Supervision for announcement record/playback session processing. Integrated announcement session instruction message sent to GRP_M.
Possible causes:
? announcement is write/delete protected
? invalid feat_type or not the same Caller ID that is in the session
? CM port connection failure
? invalid Caller ID root (au_sbegin())
? CM port disconnect failure
? CM port listen failure
? no announcement board
? maximum number of announcements already recorded

Hope this helps...

Thanks,
CJH

Your announcement is write-protected.

In the switch type, "change announcements"

Find the announcement that you want to re-record and change the "P" field to "N". (P stand for protected.)
