Hello to all,

I have several users reporting me that the MWI on their phones are light up and they do not have any messages. Or that they have messages and MWI on their phone is not turn on.

What I do on this cases is reset the mailbox, I have done it on some users and it seems to work, but in a week or two it happens again. In some users I reset the mailbox left a message and it did not turn on the MWI, I changed the port of the PBX extension number and it began working but in a week or two it happen again.

The PBX is a Nortel CS1000, from a phone device of the PBX I can turn on and off any MWI. Is there a trouble shooting I can do to determine if the Octel is sending the instructions to turn on or off the MWI? Os how ca I know from what port is or extension is the signaling for MWI going trough?

Thanks to all

You can use online CDR to see if the MWI is being sent or not

I assume you are using FLT-N's n the system ? If so the MWI ports must be in the ACD group but not logged in.

the ports that have a y under the M column are the ones set for MWI They should also have a N in the I column si it does not log into the ACD

I have check what you have told me and they do have a Y and and N on the columns you mentioned.

On the PBX configuration side these ports are not on a ACD, they are configured as "Key 0 SCR" con keys 13 and 14 of the configuration are the on and off keys. Could it be that one of this ports are not working?

Have you double checked the config note below. It is the right one for your Linear hunt configuration.
