hello

i had an application where from the main menu one can access all forms and programs, all was ok i create the menu menu1.mnx and after i generate it, i made all changes on menu1.mpr as changing the form names and no. of bars...etc.

finally when i create the project and run it the menu was changed and doesn't keep the changes i made in menu1.mpr.
Is creating the project depends on menu1.mnx and not menu1.mpr.
anyone can help me to keep what i did in menu1.mpr while running the project??

Hello.

Youn can't do it in this way. When you build the application or the exe, the menu (.mnx) is processed automatically and your .mpr is overwritten.

If you want to keep your .mpr, try generating it, modifying it, then rename it as mymenu.prg, and in your main program call it with "Do mymenu.prg". In this case, it will retain your modifications.

Hope this helps
