Problems with hyperlinks

We have report in which have a list of departments in a company.We have a requirement such that these departments shud come as hyperlinks and when we click on these a detail report shud open showing all the employees for the clicked department.Is it possible to have a hyperlinks for individual cells of a column and to pass a paramater to the detail report.

Is there a way to dynamically change the parameter being passed to the detail report.
we are working on BO 5.1.6 and webI 2.7.2
Any suggestions for BO and webi would be helpful.

The example given at above link is for HTML reports opened via hyperlinks. You can replace .htm with .rep to open a BO report using a hyperlink in a column cell.

Or rather than always going to the other very good site there are loads of posts on this one with the same information some repeated from the other site. The FAQ does tell you how to do it and that's here. Needs a bit of work to make it right for each circumstance but tells you everything you need to know.
