Problems with Caller ID on KX-TA624 with KX-T7730 1

I am having problems with my first installation of a KX-TA624 with KX-T7730 extensions. I have tried to follow all the instructions for setting up caller ID but can't seem to get call logging working correctly.

I have turned on call logging for both personal and common areas. I have also set up a PF button to display the logs for both areas. Caller ID is working when I call the system from my cell phone. The log, however, shows no info after the call. After trying just about everything I could think of, I finally got the personal log to display the CallerID info. However, the PFButton light illuminates and the display shows the number of calls but there doesn't seem to be a way to scroll through the different calls. This system came with hundreds of pages of programming instructions, but very little practical examples. I don't know how I'll ever turn this system over to the homeowner, because it is so hard to operate. Daylight savings just went into effect and I had to go out and change the time on the extensions.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

if you sold this system on the merits of it caller id
handling you may as well hang it up!! it isn't great
and the TD wasn't great with out running tapi!!
 
The customer wanted this system but I had no idea that it would be such a pain to program. It is difficult to know how good a system is until you have installed several different types and compared them. It wouldn't be as bad if there were adequate instructions. Since this is not my primary business, I'm not sure what you mean by TD or tapi.

the 624 has been out of production for a year at least the
824 took its place and It has a GUI for proggraming.
the TD = KX-TD 816/1332-4 if you have panasonic tsp drivers loaded for tapi on your PC you will get caller id info screen pops with the right software.....

So far I am no closer to finding a solution to my problems. Do I just tell the customer that the system won't display caller id because it is just not a great system. I don't doubt that it is out of production. I bid the job, purchased the kx-ta624, pre-wired the house and then the customer had financial difficulties that resulted in the house sitting unfinished for 2 years almost. Now they want to finish.

do you have all the docs for the system?
you have to read all the info you can find on the caller id
stuff and test it out try to make it as easy as you can for the customer to use.
 
I'm sorry,

I've read about 600 pages of manual and spent 8-10 hours trying everything I can find in the manual. The only reason that I am here is that I can find no other information on Caller ID that helps to get this system going. I was hoping to find someone on this forum that had indepth knowledge of this system and could look at what I had typed in my initial thread and try to respond with something that I might not have thought of.

The manual does a poor job of outlining everything that is needed to make caller id work. Does Panasonic have a support telephone number? I've already spent about 2 hours on hold with Panasonic and finally gave up when my cell phone battery died.

audible do you have a web page setup by any chance so I can
pull a phone number off of it so I can tech you over the phone
I have a lot of the 624's out there
 
T heres the dealio just came from a site the phone has a common caller id button on it .that had a full common log 300 new calls up and down scrolls and transfer button deletes .
 
t if you have a program 140 that is the solution
for ring cadence!
