Hello!

I have a new "powered by ATI" but made by Sapphire Radeon 9000 RV250 videocard -> 128 Mgb DDR, DVI. I have the latest directX, drivers installed. Whenever I try to play a game (e.g. Counter Strike) to test the card, my system freezes. Also when I start watching videos, it freezes too. I can't detect the causes of this problem. My system is Amd Athlon XP 2000+, ECS K7S5A mobo, 320 RAM if this info can help you.

Thank you!

I can tell you that Half-Life & it's Mods (CS, DoD, etc.) have had problems with ATI cards. I thought ATI had addressed this problem with it's newer cards. Valve has a patch out for this issue. This is a patch for the game not a vid card driver.

I guess this is not a problem! I tried different games. Moreover, this problem was fixed in the new edition of CS/Hl.

When i changed my Bios settings to have less frequency on the buses, it worked. My videocard didn't freeze. Can someone explain the causes of the problem?
