I have installed a red hat server running apache for a web host.

I am experiencing problems viewing the site... some times it is visible in the browser... then next time I visit the site it not visible... Close browser. Open it type in address then it’s visible..?

I only two things I think it could be is the apache server or the ADSL router that is set up for port forwarding.

The web server is on a private 192.168.*.* address and request for port 80from the internet is redirected via the router to the internal apache server...

Any help would be great

Cheers

Where can i find this file... sorry new to linux

After many years of network admiistration with windows NT -2003 i thought i would get to grips of a proper networ operating system..lol

If it's stock redhat and apache is installed vi rpm, it should be in /var/log/httpd/access_log.

Otherwise do 'locate access_log'.

locate is your friend.
