Problems with Alphastor.

We have recentlly had Alphastor installed and we are having nothing but problems with it.
NW version - 7.11
AS version - 3.x
Tape unit - L700 storagetek

The problem we keep having is that they keep losing communcation with eachother. We will send a tape load commad from NW and As aknowledgtes that the command has been sent but nothing happens, eventually after a robot reinventory it actually loaded the tape but then NW had no idea that the tape had actually been loaded. THis has happened several times now.

Any idea's as to the cause would be apreciated.
Has anyone else had thios problem or other problems like this using AS ?

hi,

we also use alphastor 3.x sr1 but with nw 6.1.
we have a similarly problem, as cannot mount virtual volumes.
we have temporarly loss of rpc-communication, in some cases as hangs, in some cases as mounted the volumes after rpc reconnect.
we had massive problems in the testlab (runtime of rpc-pakets), in the production completley rar.

in the testlab very often mount problems, we use a lan-analyser -> no problems, we remove the lan-analyser -> the problems back again.

our problem: as sends the mount request and became no response from the whole chain thereafter.
