Hi there ,

Using Windows Advanced Server 2000

Every so often i am getting a error with MSMQ :

"Unable to display all public queues...
Only cached queues will be displayed...
Error: The object was not found in Active Directory "

If i restart the server it works, is there any other way of restarting the Active Directory without rebooting the machine ? Or is there any other way to get over this ?
Any ideas what would cause this ?

I installed MSMQ triggers also.

I appreciate any help.

Matthew Humphrey

We've got this at work, and haven't seen this problem (yet).

It might be time to reinstall that server from scratch.

Or...

Try reinstalling Win2k service pack 1.

Make sure that only one DNS (the Domain Controller) is defined on your machine.

There are problem with MS Exchange Store, I think the Active Directory is stored using this somewhat. There is only one Domain Controller. Are you guys familiar with the MS Exchange Store and its importance ?

Matthew

I installed the SP1 for Win2K and the problem seemed to disappear. I am monitoring it .

Thanks

Matthew Humphrey

The problem is still there guys, we reinstalled ms exchange with the following switchs /prep, /forestprep, /all

the problem is still there.

Do you think that we should run the win2k server setup again and do a reinstall ?
