Hi Folk,
Seasons greeting to all. I recently bought two 15" Relisys TL565 LCD Monitors, identical except one is white the other black. The white one works fine, replacing my old CRT monitor, no problem. The black on, however, has a problem. On switch on the Kv2 Extreme logo comes up for about 3 seconds then goes off. As the system goes through POST and windows boots, all the way to the Desktop, each change of screen flashes up and then disappears. The Desktop can be seen by close up examination and the OSD Function menu is there and responds to the Adjustment Control Buttons but only by peering very closely can the screen be seen. On switch off the No Signal message flashes up.
My limited experience suggests that this should be a problem which can be fairly easily rectified. Am I too optimistic or should I scrap it. Any and all ideas/ observations will be most gratefully welcomed.

If it's being connected to the same system with the same cable as the good monitor, then it's probably defective.

if u can still see the graphics and its just not bright there's probably a loose cable from the power supply to the lcd backlight (inside the monitor case) or the backlight lamps are burned out. I would RMA that one asap.

I worked on monitors both lcd and crt in the past and a slight adjustment of the internal cabling or replacement of the entire lcd screen (which would include a new backlight)would fix that problem 90% of the time on the BenQ (labeled as Compaq on the outside) monitors we serviced.

Hi NeoValence, Thanks for your input. Points me in the right direction, I'm sure. I'll open it up and check the cable connections. Can't RMA it, no receipt and Relisys don't want to know!
Thanks again.
