problems using ip phone 5610 on ipo403

hi having problems starting up 5610 ip phone on ipo 403
that is running version 3.0 (40) and dt handsets
i have a vcm5 fitted and have the ipsets firmware in the manager folder on the manager pc that is running the tftp log
when i connect the ip handset it runs through setup i enter the address of the pc that has the ipsets firmware but after the setup routine the handset does not function
there are no tftp logs on the screen either
any help in this would be appreciated

 
A) DT handsets are not supported on 3.0.40 You need to downgrade to 3.0.578 which is a DT release.

B) 56XX IP handsets will not work on that system due to the software version, you need to use 46XX handsets.

Make a user in manager
Let it make an ip extension if it asks and if it doesn't make your own

Then start up the phone
Press * when it says

Give the phone a unique ipadres

callsv is the ipoffice
don't change the port 1719
mask is your subnet mask
router is your ipoffice if your phone is local ,if it is remote point it to your gateway
fileserver is the pc with manager on it (let manager run)

If it asks for an extension then put in the extension number you made
password is password if you did not set one up
otherwise put in the password

dt handsets do work on version 3.0 (40)
i can see problem must be incompatable handsets 46xx instead of 56xx thank for your help

 
You are talking about 3.0.40 and DT phone's
DT phone's do not work on 3.0.40
46xx or 56xx phone's does not matter, they should work

Well they could function on 3.0 (not DT) but all there display functions are not working anymore.
To set time, using voicemail etc.

I've one 403DT on 3.1.65 (soon on 3.2.61) and the only DT set is a DT1(2010) wich doesn't have a display is working OK.

Still it isn't supported (and my customer is aware of that but did want to have IP-Dect) but works anyway.

But for the DT3 and DT5 (2030/2050) the features to set nightservice and so on are gone on the normal 3.0/3.1 releases.

56 series handsets were introduced in 3.0 and are 3.0+ only.

Try it and you will see it does not work, it just sits saying discovering, its something to do with the bin file or something.

They do not work on 2.1 systems, just as on a 5410 you get system incompatible if you put it on a 2.1 system.

I have tried DT handsets on 3.2 Escorthosis and I had lots of one way transmission problems. They do function ish on 3.0 and 3.1 but gets worse with 3.2.

I did this for a customer who needed the upgrade for other features but didn't want to change the DT phones. Once It didn't work we ripped out the DT's for IP56xx's

Thanks for the info on 3.2. The one customer that has the DT1 on the system will be upgraded from 3.1.65 to 3.2.61 in the near future. So will take an spare analog, dect or IP-extension with us just to be sure.

He is on 3.0.40 so it should not matter
